Saturna are excited to being playing with Scottish band 1990s tonight at Dante’s in Portland.  The lineup will be rounded out by psych rock outfit The Upsidedown and Another Cynthia.  Here’s what the Paige Richmond of the Willamette Week has to say about the show:

Songs written by Glasgow indie-poppers 1990s sound like the background to an iPod commercial: perfectly timed music with sassy accented vocals and danceable beats. The band’s MySpace page claims, “They play rock and roll like a blonde gets out of a car,” but it’s more like how the Rolling Stones played on Out of Our Heads—soulful without a trace of melancholy. But if melancholy is your mood, the trancelike space rock from opening act Saturna will soothe you—just in time for 1990s to help you dance your worries away.
