‘Some Delicious Enemy’ Out Tomorrow June 11, 2007

Posted by Ryan in Saturna, Some Delicious Enemy.

Saturna is so excited out all of the stuff thats been going on lately and the release of our debut album Some Delicious Enemy that comes out tomorrow (you can pre-order it at Amazon.com if you can’t wait for the record stores)

We played a couple of great shows over the weekend.  Our Portland CD Release Party was Friday night at the Ash Street in Portland, OR and we had a blast.  We played with some really great bands too.  Joshua English opened the night with an accoustic set that featured some bright pop tunes.  Then Levator, which may be my new favorite Seattle band took the stage and played an amazing set.  The Black Mercies went on after them and played a rousing set of indie rock.  We had a lot of fun with them up in the green room (funny thing, I’ve played the Ash Street a million times and never knew they had a green room, if you can really call it a room, its more like a fireplace that everyone can squeeze into).

Saturday we did a marathon photo shoot with Justin Renney.  We had an ambitious six location schedule, but ran into a couple of snags because we forgot about Portland’s annual Rose Festival parade.  We still got to five locations and ten hours later had the shots that we needed.  Thanks Justin, they look great.  Hopefully later this week we’ll have some up for everyone to see.

Sunday we played an in-store at Music Millenium on NW 23rd.  It was the first time we’d done one of these and it turned out great.  We had fun seeing some of our “day” friends like Joel Henriques, Donovan, Jiggy and others.  Thanks for coming out guys!  We really appreciated the support.

Tomorrow we release Some Delicious Enemy and I can’t stop talking about how exciting this is for us.  We’ve put so much hard work into this release and to see it become reality is absolutely thrilling.

Later this week we head to New York for shows, parties and appearances.  If you’ll be there too and want to hang out, email us at saturna@saturnamusic.com
