Pirate radio station Galaxy FM 94.3 in Los Mochis, Sinaloa, Mexico has Saturna on its radar and is putting us into their rotation starting this Friday night.  Thanks to Roy who is following a dream I’ve had ever since watching Christian Slater in Pump Up the Volume.

Speaking of pirates, this weekend in Portland is the annual Pirate Festival at Cathedral Park underneath the St. Johns bridge.  After spending some time in Central America, earlier this year, I became completely enamored with pirates.  I always loved them of course, but after reading Under the Black Flag: The Romance and the Reality of Life Among the Pirates, while lounging in the shadow of pirate hideouts in Belize, you heard little else from me besides obscure pirate facts.   If you’re heading down to the festival look for me swigging ale, squinting through my one good eye, and yelling to the bar wench for more.  Aargh!
